As the carefree days of summer dwindled and offices were slow to return, most of us felt a jolt to our emotional stability. Foreseeing what jobs will thrive in the post-COVID era is challenging. There are still discernible patterns, though. Not that I’m advocating a complete about-face if you’re happy with your current line of work. If you’re still thinking about a career shift, these are the top job industries to look into.
Healthcare
Approximately 2.6 million new employments will be created in the sector due to the increased demand for healthcare caused by an aging population.
Entertainment & Service Industry
Since more individuals are venturing out into the world, there is a greater need for workers in the entertainment and service industries.
Computer and Information Technology
Over the period from 2020 to 2030, employment in the field of information technology is projected to increase by 13%, which is faster than the yearly average of 11% growth seen in recent years. Big data, cloud computing, and other forms of data protection contribute to the sector’s expansion.
Personal Care
The last few years have been difficult for many individuals, so it’s no surprise that jobs requiring care for others or providing a service are rising. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects an above-average 22% increase in demand for these roles between 2020 and 2030. New employment opportunities in these sectors are projected to total about 841,000.
