Exercise Active Listening
Any healthy relationship is built on trust and effective communication. Active listening is one of the most acceptable methods to accomplish both goals. Use non-verbal cues to demonstrate that you’re paying attention, be responsive to other people’s remarks, and develop your emotional intelligence.
Keep Your Word and Your Promises
Make sure you keep your promises before you start demanding things from other people. People need to have faith in their ability to achieve deadlines. Building strong working relationships will be easier if you establish yourself as a trustworthy team member.
Offer Support
Building relationships at work can be done by easing a coworker’s burden while trying to complete an assignment. If you see a coworker stressed out and have additional time, think about helping them.
Respect Each Employee’s Contribution
Relationships can be strengthened by showing appreciation. You may recognize each employee’s unique function within the company by bearing in mind that all departments have different aims. Sometimes it could appear impossible to comprehend the difficulties a different department faces, and frustrations might result in unfavorable emotions.
Avoid Rumor
Office politics and rumors can ruin relations at work. Workplace gossip can only make things worse by fostering more distrust and hostility. Talk to the member of your group directly if you’re having a disagreement with them.
Be Positive
Maintain an optimistic attitude. People tend to draw toward those who make them feel happy because positivity is contagious.
